As their racecourse debuts come ever closer, three more of our two-year-olds have received their racing names.

The two-year-old gelding by Ardad out of Listed winner Aetna is now called Acrisius. Owner Brian Padgett likes to name his horses after mythological characters and the theme continues with Acrisius who, in Greek mythology, was a king of Argos and grandfather of the famous Greek demi-god Perseus.

Atomic Mass

The two-year-old by Havana Gold out of Fresh Snow is now named Atomic Mass, a good strong robust name for a racehorse!

Recently named by the Silent B Syndicate, the colt by Golden Horn out of Avongrove is now called Draupnir. In Norse mythology, Draupnir is a gold ring possessed by the god Odin with the ability to multiply itself.
