Friday evening racing: Debutants at Pontefract

We have a busy evening in store at Pontefract on Friday with the action including two juvenile debutants and an older horse who makes his stable debut.

Grantley Hall makes her return in the 'Chartered Accountants Handicap' after nearly ten months off the racecourse. The daughter of Ardad is a dual winner and she'll return to the track where she made her debut back in 2022.

The Resdev Scholar and Liverpool Star are set to make the racecourse debuts in the 'Juddmonte EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes'. The Resdev Scholar was a purchase from the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale in April, whilst Liverpool Star came to us as a yearling last year. Six of the ten horses in the £30,000 are unraced and there look some promising types in the line up.

The Resdev Scholar

Keats House is another former Breeze Up buy and he will contest the 'Napoleons Casino Bradford Maiden Handicap'. A seven race maiden he has run well in defeat and looks to have ability at this level.

Fiftyshadesaresdev joined us from Micky Hammond earlier this year. He makes his yard debut in the 'PMW Quarries Handicap' and we'll be aiming to get a win out of this 33-race maiden. He has ability, and his placed efforts include a narrow runner-up spot at York, and we'll do all we can to go one better.

My Honey B is our final runner of the day in the 'Julian Foster Memorial Handicap'. She recorded a hat-trick as a three-year-old but is winless since. Her best form is on quick ground and she'll like the surface.
