Joanna Mason rode six-year-old Le Beau Garcon to victory in the 'Join Racing TV Now Handicap' at Ayr this afternoon. The son of Brazen Beau was recording his fourth career victory as he made his seasonal reappearance after a 253 day break.

Racing prominently, Le Beau Garcon showed plenty of courage in the closing stages to hold off the challenge of Copper Knight to land the Class 5 contest by a short head at odds of 11/2.

Le Beau Garcon is from a family we like, and his two-year-old half-brother Bravo Hotel has shown plenty of promise having been third on both of his two outings to date, most recently at York. Bravo Hotel also races in the colours of Bernard Hoggarth and looks a horse to follow this season.
