Back in February we rehomed a lovely chestnut filly called La Jolie Fille. A daughter of Decorated Knight, she didn't have the speed to be a winner on the track and we retired her after six races. A gentle, kind and sweet girl she was loved by the staff and one of her best friends was a farm cat. La Jolie Fille is now enjoying life off the track with her new owner Megan and family in Waterlooville, Hampshire. "We have renamed her Valentine as her birthday is on Valentine's Day!" says Megan. "Valentine is such a joy for us to have. She's currently on a break while I had my second little girl, but soon will be back into work. She's out at my stables and grazing, it's just her an my mini Shetland, Amber, and what besties they've become." "Valentine is just as sweet as when she first arrived and we hope she's living her best life with us." |
