Everyone at the stable loved gentle four-year-old filly English Wren and today she is enjoying her first day at her new home in the Peak District.

The good looking daughter of Cityscape raced twice but she didn't have the speed to be a winner and was retired from racing.

English Wren arrived in Derbyshire on Tuesday and has already made some new friends. She's now reunited with her former fieldmate Kalariya who is also enjoying her retirement with new owner Vicky and the pair of old friends immediately greeted each other.

"She's settled in brilliantly", says Vicky. "My lonely cob absolutely loves her, you can't get a blade of grass between them! And as predicted my daughter has fallen in love with her".

English Wren will enjoy the rest of her natural life in one of England's most beautiful settings where she'll want for nothing.
