Hazy Glen made a successful return to the track this afternoon by taking the 'TrustATrader You Can Trust Our Traders Handicap Hurdle' at Haydock Park.

A debut winner in Cumbria last year the son of Lawman had been placed in his last three races before his a summer break. He was due to return at Carlisle last month but missed the race with a bruised foot. Making a delayed reappearance he ran out a fine winner in Merseyside this afternoon, beating Haarar by three lengths. Only six of the eight runners finished the race, with favourite Guard Duty unseating after being carried right at the seventh hurdle when in front, having been badly hampered by Jet Marshall who was running loose after unseating at the second.

Carrying the colours of Imperial Racing Hazy Glen was partnered by Jamie Hamilton and was returned at odds of 7/2.
