We make the short trip to Thirsk's evening meeting on Tuesday with four runners.

Liverpool Star kicks off proceedings in the 'Army Benevolent Fund Nursery Handicap' where he makes handicap debut off mark of 66. The juvenile is still learning and he showed improvement when fifth at Pontefract last time. He steps back to five furlongs today and wears first time blinkers.

Calcutta Dream runs in division one of the 'Don't Miss Summer Family Days @Thirskraces Classified Stakes'. The son of Iffraaj boasts six career wins from 45 starts but these have all come on all weather surfaces. His record on turf is one place from 15 starts, but he's ow rated 8lb lower than highest winning mark. Since this is a classified race he runs at level weights against horses who would concede weight in a handicap. We retain the blinkers to help him concentrate.

Glorious Kitty

Glorious Kitty 'thirskracecourse.net Handicap' ran well at Epsom in 3yo Dash in June but was seven lengths behind stablemate Alpha Magic at Hamilton last time out. She has ability and speed and her time will come. The horse to beat may well be Tiva. Third at Redcar on her penultimate start in a better class of race, she was then beaten just half a length when third again at Doncaster last time. She has a visor to help her this time.

My Honey B is on a losing run and she'll hope to benefit from a dropping handicap mark in the 'Thirsk Racecourse Ideal Conference Venue Handicap'. She won three in a row as a three-year-old, adding to her juvenile victory, but hasn't posted a win since 2023. She's now rated 51, down from a career high mark of 67, and the in-form Dumfries and Without Delay look the two to be aiming at.
