Earlier this year we retired winning mare Copper Mountain. She was rehomed to Anne Johnson in Essex and today she attended her first pole clinic.
"She was a total superstar. Just took it all in her stride. She loved it, she had her ears pricked all the time," said Anne. "She took no notice of the other horses even when they were being a bit stupid. We thought that she would look the complete novice in comparison to the others but as it turned out she was far and away the best."
Copper Mountain lives near Chelmsford racecourse, where she was a winner back in 2021 and she and Anne often ride past the gates. She always has a good look into the course when passing but carries on by and isn't tempted to get back on the track.
Always the ultimate professional on the racecourse, we're delighted to see Copper Mountain enjoying life after racing.
