Rehoming

Hoots Toots — known fondly to us as Brian — was a three-time winner for the Laura Mason Syndicate, scoring twice at Southwell in 2022 and again on his seasonal reappearance at Thirsk in 2023. He hails from a fine family: out of black-type mare Bow Bridge, and a half-brother to multiple winners including Bowson Fred, So Grateful, and Black Annis Bower.

But by late 2023, Brian had simply fallen out of love with racing. After finishing last at Redcar in October, he made it clear he was ready for a new chapter — and so, he was retired and made available for rehoming.

Interest was immediate, and Brian was rehomed after his very first viewing. He now lives with Lauren, who recently sent us a heartwarming update and some lovely photos.

"He's honestly such a gent and I always recommend your ponies to anyone looking," says Lauren. "He's been everything I wanted and I can’t wait for many years with him."

"Brian is loving retirement and would quite happily plod round like a Blackpool donkey every day."

We couldn't be happier for Brian and Lauren — it's the kind of match we always hope for.

Mick & David regularly have ex-racehorses available for rehoming. If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion and a best friend, please don’t hesitate to drop us a message.
