Tuesday racing: Seven runners at Redcar

Redcar hold their final meeting of the season on Tuesday and we have seven runners at the Cleveland track.

The Racing TV Free Trial Now EBF Novice Stakes which opens the card at 12.25 sees debuts for three of our juveniles.

Lining up for the six furlong contest are the Mick & David Easterby 50 Club's Lamlash Bay (Dale Swift), Tomlinson Racing's Simmy's Legacy (Joanna Mason) and the Brian Padgett-owned Ganthorpe (Billy Garritty) who are all set for their first racecourse outings.

Ganthorpe is the latest home-bred offspring of Listed winner Aetna, who has a 100% strike rate with her runners with Copper Mountain, Ratafia and Acrisius all recording multiple victories on the track. Lamlash Bay is a Harry Angel half-brother to six individual winners who have collectively recorded 13 victories. Simmy's Legacy is also related to winners, being a half-brother to Wotever Next.

Resdev Time runs in the Wear Your Poppy With Pride Nursery Handicap where she'll face just four opponents. Fifth at Pontefract last time she's three pounds lower than when making her handicap debut at Musselburgh and races off a mark of 59.

The Carol Simpson Legacy Handicap has split into two divisions and we have a runner in each half, with What What What in Division One and Carlton and Co in Two.

Blueandtangerine is our final runner of the day in the Thanks And See You Next Season Apprentice Handicap which brings down the curtain on racing at Redcar for 2025. Lewis Chalkley takes the ride and claims a valuable seven pounds.
