Rehoming

Jodie Harvey-Jones and Harry - who we knew as Abwab - have won the Blackfort Equestrian All Star Academy 2025.

Abwab was rehomed from our yard back in 2020, after running seven times and not manging to make the frame. Jodie Harvey-Jones rehomed Abwab and it's been a resounding success story.

The Blackfort Equestrian All Star Academy is a popular reality TV show on Horse & Country (H&C), a leading equestrian network, featuring riders competing in challenges to test their skills with their horses, sponsored by Blackfort Equestrian, a brand owned by Molly Kaye. The 2025 series filmed at Hartpury University, introduced new riders from Ireland and Europe, and featured celebrity judges like Pammy Hutton and Charlie Hutton, with episodes available on H&C+, showcasing intense flatwork, jumping, and cross-country tests.

This is what Jodie had to say:

I can’t believe I’m writing those words!

It hasn’t sunk in!!!

The All Star Academy has been my dream for many, many years! I never dared to dream that we might actually win it though.

I can’t even begin to describe the pride and joy to have been able to experience it all with my very special heart horse, Harry! You make my dreams come true!

Producing your own ex-racehorse is no mean feat. It’s a tough gig but we have worked so hard. They get a bad reputation but they hold such a special place in my heart and so to be given the opportunity to show everyone just Bloomin brilliant they are was incredible but my goodness did I feel the pressure!

I pep talked Harry over and over again, trying to explain to him how important it was to put his very best hoof forward and my goodness did he do that.

It was the best week of my equestrian life! The training, the challenges and the exposure to the best people in the industry provided everything it possibly could and I really felt Harry and I develop and bond more than ever before!

It was such a pleasure so share my special boy with the world!

Just before the show, a lady stopped me outside the loos at Badminton and congratulated me on been being selected for the show. She said she had been following mine and Harry’s journey for a while and she said the timing of the show couldn’t have been any better for Harry’s development as he was ready now more than ever! My goodness you were right!

Everything fell into place and Harry achieved things I didn’t know he could I’m one very proud horse-momma.

I want to say a huge, HUGE thank you to the team at @horseandcountrytv you are all incredible, wonderful people! @life_on_the_left_rein and @elphick.event.ponies you are just lovely!! The sponsors of the show - just wow, thank you so much for everything!!! Thank you to all of the special guests, you have changed me as a rider and I don’t think it will ever sink in that rode with you!

Finally, a huge thank you to my fabulous fellow all stars! What an amazing bunch you are! Forever my friends.

WE DID IT, HARRY
