A drop back in trip did the trick for Catton Lady this afternoon as she took the Ladbrokes 'Big Daily Boosts On Racing' Handicap at Ayr.

The five-year-old was returned at odds of 12/1 as she hit the front in the final half furlong to defeat Novak buy a length.

Catton Lady had run well last time when runner up in a Beverley seller where she was disadvantaged at the weights, but a return to handicap company saw her record her third career success.

Catton Lady is owned by Mr and Mrs Tinning and Mrs Wallis and enjoys her trips to the north country, adding a victory at Ayr to he previous two wins at Carlisle.
