Stable star Sondad took his career earning past the quarter of a million pound mark this afternoon when he finished fourth int he Bold Lad Sprint Handicap at The Curragh.

Joanna Mason was the rider as the son of Washington DC ran a very good race under top-weight to collect €5,850 for finishing fourth, which took his career earnings to £252,842. The five-year-old's total earnings include £218,571 in winning prizemoney, representing a huge return for a horse who cost just 7,500 guineas as a foal from Tattersalls December Foal Sale in 2021.

Sondad took a huge following to Ireland to cheer him on, as he took aim at his fifth prize of the season. However, top-weight proved a little too much today, and he may now have to look to Group races given his current handicap mark of 108.
