A beautiful filly who is too small to race arrived today at her forever home in the Cheviot Hills.
Standing at just 14.1hh, the daughter of Soldier's Call was bred here but hadn't grown sufficiently to be trained for racing.
Advertised through our rehome programme she caught the eye of Ellen Wood who has a farm in Northumberland.
Ellen rehomed ex-racehorse Sharp Call earlier this year and has been so impressed with her filly that she was keen to take on another thoroughbred by the same sire.
"She travelled brilliantly, we never heard her once," said Ellen. "I did bring a pony to keep her company. We have turned her out in the field and she looks happy. I think we will call her Fig."
"She will be turned away for the winter will probably do some in hand shows next year. We'll get her out and let her see life a bit then she can go away for the winter again."
We wish Ellen, Abigail and Fig many happy years together and we know she has a wonderful life ahead.
