Longcliffe won the 'Prince Of Wales Nursery' at Doncaster as a juvenile on a day where Whenby also won on Town Moor. Longcliffe also won the 'Stonebridgegate Stakes' at Ripon as a four-year-old. Longcliffe was sold to Peter Felgate in 1979 and won at Liverpool in 1980 but broke down after the line but he did recover and raced again.
