Titan Wood came from Chris Kinane in Ireland. He made a winning stable debut at Sedgefield in September 1983 by taking the 'Chilton and Windleston Working Mens Club Novices Chase' and later the same month won the 'Vaux Breweries Novices Chase Qualifier' also at Sedgefield. He left the yard soon after to be trained by owner Peter Greenall. He was later trained by Arthur Stephenson and then sold to Swiss trainer Adolf Weiss.
