The stables of Mick & David Easterby are situated close to the gently rolling hills of the idyllic Ryedale countryside east of the village of Sheriff Hutton. It is here at New House Farm that Mick has trained racehorses for over sixty years.

In 2021 Mick and David took out a joint licence, continuing the long tradition of training from New House Farm at Sheriff Hutton.

Mick's impressive CV has seen him send out over 2,500 winners. Amongst these have been Mrs McArdy (1000 Guineas), Lochnager (Champion Sprinter), Gentleman's Deal (Winter Derby), Wiganthorpe (Gimcrack Stakes), Peterhof (Triumph Hurdle) and Jon George (Ayr Gold Cup).

The yard has evolved over the past sixty years and has a character that you won't find anywhere else. We have our own private gallops including flat, uphill, all weather and turf and also schooling facilities and acres of paddocks where the horses are turned out.
