Eight-year-old Ring Of Gold runs in the 'Win £1M With BetMGM's Golden Goals Handicap' at Southwell on Tuesday where Joanna Mason rides. A maximum field of 12 runners go to post for the Class 6 contest which will be run over seven furlongs. The weights are headed by the 60-rated Soames Forsyte and Ring Of Gold is drawn in stall six. Ring Of Gold is a three-time winner, with all victories having come on the all weather. His successes have come at Kempton park and Wolverhampton, although he has been runner up twice at Southwell. The son of Havana Gold's last win came in December 2022 at Kempton under Jim Crowley and he's a horse who arrives late on the scene and therefore relies on a good pace and the breaks coming at the right time. |
